Spring Assembly 2019 – Region 5 of Overeaters Anonymous

Event Details

We hope you will join us at the upcoming 2019 Region 5 Spring Assembly, which will be held at the HYATT Regency in Milwaukee WI. This is the same hotel where the 2019 Region 5 Convention will be held later this year. As such you will be getting an advanced sample of how awesome this hotel will be for our convention.

We have a lot of work to do. By attending you will be contributing to continuing effort by our business committees and committee of the whole to help the OA members, groups, and intergroups in our region. We have decisions to make and actions to take and we need every one of you get it done.

You can register online or register using the paper registration form. The online registration form is the preferred method. The registration paper form can be found in Packet A or you can open the form using the button above. Send your registration directly to the Region 5 Secretary at the address on the form. Please send one form for each person attending. The paper form and check must be received no later than the registration deadline on February 22nd, 2019.

To register online, click the button above. This will take you to our new registration page. The registration form will be available on Jan 25th, 2019. Please read the registration page carefully as the layout and questions have changed since the last time you have registered. For example one of the new features of the new registration form is the ability for one person to register multiple people.

We have raised the cost for registration by $3.00 to cover the rising cost of Assemblies. Representatives may register for $48 through February 22nd, though there will be an early bird price of $43 for those who register by February 15th. Representative registrations will not be accepted after February 22nd. The option for those who want to attend, but are not registered by February 22nd is to register as a visitor. Only visitors may come as walk-ins.

Visitors are always welcome. If you plan to visit, please register by February 22nd. There is no charge for visitors to register unless they wish to join us for the Saturday Luncheon, which must be prepaid ($28). Visitors are also welcome to register (without lunch) as walk-ins. If you are coming as a visitor, please consider serving as a copy coordinator, a timer, or a ballot teller.

When you register online you have a choice of paying by credit card or check. Payment must be received no later than Feb 22nd, 2019.

Reserve a Hotel Room

Register your room as soon as you can. To reserve a room online at the HYATT Regency in Milwaukee WI, click the button above. Or call the hotel directly +1 414-276-1234 referencing the group name “G-OVER”. The discounted rate is $99.00 per night (Total $198.00 for both nights). Make your reservations by February 15th, 2019 to get the discount and give Region 5 room credit toward the meeting rooms. The special room rate will be available until February 15th, 2019 or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first. The price for the room will increase to $159.00, so you want to make sure you get your room reservation.

Be sure to read all of the documents in Packet A and B. before the Assembly. These packets include all of the information you need to be successful during the Assembly. Read the Secretary Letter, which is the first document of each packet for detailed information about the documents in the packet and other pertinent information you will need for the assembly.

We are now only offering the full Assembly Handbook which includes the all of the documents in the packets in a binder for $25.00. If you have the Assembly handbook, The Region 5 Secretary can print all of the Assembly specific documents including the agenda, motions, and reports for $15.00

Documents will not be mailed but will be available for pickup when you register at the assembly. However, you do not need to rely on the Region 5 Secretary for printing. Instead you can print the documents using your printer, ask an OA friend to print the documents for you, or have the documents printed at an Office copy store.
